Jazz and/or Hip-Hop
Jazz
There are many faces of jazz; lyrical jazz, classic jazz, Latin jazz, Afro Jazz, Broadway jazz, and funk jazz. We explore all of them. Students will experience a complete jazz class with warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, and a center combination.
Pirouettes, traditional jazz steps, isolations, extension, and performance ability are just a sampling of the skills we focus on in jazz class progessed at an age-appropriate rate.
Hip-Hop
Hip-hop dancing allows students to explore dance through today's pop music. There are many styles of hip-hop dancing from breaking and popping to krumping. We offer a style similar to that seen in music videos and commercials.
All hip-hop classes use age-appropriate music and choreography. This style of dance usually attracts the recreational student.
